Paranormal Activities

"The scariest movie of the decade" should be its title. Paranormal Activity follows up on a young couple who are being haunted by a ghost. Katie and Micah decide that something really weird is happening inside the house. So Micah decides to buy a camera. At first, Katie was hesitant but finally, she agreed. They set up the camera inside their room as an attempt to find out who and what is haunting them.
I really love this movie! I wasn't really like shouting or screaming throughout the movie, i mean, there wasn't anything too surprising in it. The only thing that i really did while watching was mumbling the words "oh my gosh!". I said it like, maybe a few hundred times while watching.
The thing that is really terrifying about the movie is that, you know, since its a "found footage" it means that, its real. And that it can happen to real people like us. And the thing that scared me the most was when Micah searched online about their situation and they found another person who went through the same thing. One thing that i should make clear first: The ghost isn't haunting the house, its haunting Katie. I mean, its better if the house is the one that's haunted, 'cause you can leave anytime you want. But if the ghost is haunting the person itself. Now that's scary! I mean you cant just move out of your body and go into another one! What the hell are you? A voodoo master?
So anyway, it says in the internet that, Katie isn't the first victim of this ghost. It also happened to someone else. I promise i can almost hear Michael Jackson's "You are not Alone" screaming through my ears. Ooh, scary! So, what happened to this other person? She died.
At the end of the movie there was a few words saying that the movie was fiction and it wasn't really real. Wow. That's both good news and bad news. Bad news: it spoils the fun. Good news: You can go to sleep without worrying that some ghost might creep up on you!Awesome. Just what i needed. Of course, its a good thing the movie isn't true! Those kind of things happen rarely. Has in really rare!
The movie was horrifying! I loved it! The actors were marvelous! Really nice! If you haven't watched it yet, watch it! Your bones would be shivering their way out of your skin afterwards!!!

Julie & Julia

This is actually a true story, or shall i say true stories. The story is about Julia Child's struggle to become a professional chef and Julie Powell's challenge to cook all of the recipes in Julia Child's first book. What i really love about the movie is the way Julie was inspired by Julia. Julia's challenge is to cook 524 recipes in just 365 days...what the hell? I mean, not even my mom can do that kind of thing. Of course, my mom's cooking sucks -which she already knows,- so that doesn't count. I mean...unbelievable. How the hell can someone cook 524 recipes in just 365 days? Does she cook like, five meals per day? Ugh, math is so freaking hard!
Anyway, i haven't read the book yet so i cant blog about it yet. -I know, i know, i know....we should judge a book for the book's cover-. But i did watch the movie, and the movie itself was just...FANTASTIC! And you can't get that kind of comment from me that easily!
One of the things i love the most is...the food. Nah, im just kidding. But of course, you really cant help drooling while you watch the movie. The thing that inspired me the most was Julie. I mean, she tried to do a book before but she didn't finish it because she thought that, nobody would publish the book. She was just a normal gal working in Manhattan. I was really impressed that she could cook and blog at the same time. Well, not really the same time but...well...you know. She actually did all of those...recipes in a small apartment. I mean, give the lady some credit!
What i love about Julia Child is that...she is a legend! She really tried her best to achieve her goal, and that is...to become a chef and to publish her on book.
Maybe that's the lesson in this movie. "Hard work comes great success!" is one of my favorite quotes. Something that i try to do in my own life. Also one of my favorite lines in this movie is "bon appetite!". I just love the sound of french language in the morning, don't you?
